Boom Truck Operator

The ideal candidate will be a skilled boom truck operator with a flexible attitude, willing to take on other duties when not operating the truck

Responsibilities

• Move material around site according to a plan or schedule
• Monitoring crane stability and load weights
• Operate cranes, including boom trucks and rigs, to lift, move, and position materials on construction sites.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality before use.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate lifting operations effectively.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating heavy machinery.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.

Skills

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with cranes and boom trucks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues that may arise during operation.
• Familiarity with construction site environments and safety regulations.
• Ability to operate backhoes and other construction machinery is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills
• Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Good spatial awareness.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure safety standards are met consistently.
• Capability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on tasks.

Pay:

$25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday- some Saturdays may be required

Experience:

• Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Required)
• Driver’s License CDL class B (Required)
